Re-Post: Creative Ways to Ask “what happened at school today?”

http://www.simplesimonandco.com/2014/08/25-ways-ask-teens-school-today-without-asking-school-today.html

A collegue referred me to this blog posting over at “Simple Simon and Company” which was titled

“25 Ways to Ask Your Teens “How Was School Today?” WITHOUT asking them “How Was School Today?”

Now, as a homeschooler, I usually come home from a day at the office and ask “what’s new?”  However, I know that a lot of our family friends are not able or interested in homeschooling and I thought this was a great article to help spur conversation from teens who may have learned to become less communicative over time.

Clearly, keeping the communications lines open is important – especially when you’re competing for your son or daughter’s attention amid the background noise of school, bus rides, TV, and the internet.

Hope you enjoy the article. http://www.simplesimonandco.com/2014/08/25-ways-ask-teens-school-today-without-asking-school-today.html
